A female executive with deep experience in the chemical industry was downsized by her previous organization. After several months of continuous communication by her and the Endeavor team, she secured an interview with a company that was owned by a private equity (PE) firm. This firm needed an experienced general manager who could hit the ground running in turning around one of their chemical plants. The new manager had the responsibility of hitting the right targets for the plant so the PE firm could achieve a successful exit within two to three years.
The compensation package she secured during negotiations not only exceeded her previous levels but also included a significant upside once the firm exits the business.
