Work on Networking Daily

Networking daily is a task most people don’t invest their time in. But if you take just a few minutes every day, you can add many contacts to your existing network.

Over the course of time, your network will grow tremendously. While you may not have a deep personal relationship with everyone in your list of connections, you will have had some level of communication along the way.

LinkedIn is a great tool to use when you’re looking for a new job. But, you may not looking for a job at this time. That’s okay! Build your network even when you are not looking for a job, so that if you ever are looking for a job, you will have your network in place. And if you don’t think you have the time, make the time by creating a calendar task for networking daily.

Opportunities are everywhere. They are not rare. But you need to put yourself in position to have access to them. Make connections. Start conversations, even when you aren’t overtly wanting something. Then, be on the lookout for opportunity.
